Ozone generator can achieve decolorization effect on industrial printing and dyeing wastewater

Ozone is a highly oxidizing but unstable gas. Ozone remains strongly oxidized in aqueous solution. As a biocide, ozone has many similarities in its action as an organic biocide. The binding of ozone to proteins disrupts the indispensable reductase activity in cellular respiration. Ozone can be injected into the cooling water system from different parts. In a simple cooling water system, it is sufficient to add ozone in only one place. For complex systems with multiple branches, it is recommended to add ozone at several different locations to make the distribution of ozone in the water more uniform.

Ozone oxidation of industrial wastewater can greatly reduce the chroma and COD of wastewater, improve the B/C ratio, that is, improve the biodegradability of wastewater. It can be widely used in dyeing, chemical industry, electroplating, pulp and paper making, pharmaceutical, shampoo, pesticide, alcohol and other industrial wastewater treatment and treatment.

The reason why printing and dyeing wastewater has chroma is mainly because it contains a large number of chromophores and long-chain molecules. Ozone is a strong oxidizing agent, its oxidation capacity is second only to fluorine, and its REDOX potential is high. The oxidation of ozone is selective. It will preferentially react with long-chain molecules and chromophore groups in wastewater, opening the ring, breaking the chain, and oxidizing into colorless small molecules. The REDOX reaction and standard electrode potential are as follows:

O32H2E - = O2H2OE (O3) = 2.07 (V)

The pigment in the waste liquid is mostly organic matter, which can be quickly decomposed by ozone oxidation. The reaction between ozone and organic matter in wastewater is complex. Hydroxyl radical (OH) is mainly produced by direct oxidation reaction and ozonolysis. The ozone oxidation process is caused by some dissolved substances in the waste liquid and produces a series of free radicals. The new ecological free radicals react quickly with chromophore and double bond on organic matter in waste liquid, and the chromophore in waste liquid is damaged due to strong oxidation ability, so as to achieve the purpose of decolorization.
