Application of Ozone in Flue Gas Denitrification


Denitrification Principle

By utilizing the strong oxidizing property of ozone, low-valence nitrogen oxides that are insoluble in water can be oxidized into higher-valence nitrogen oxides that are easily soluble in water.And then removed through absorption using alkaline or other scrubbing solutions, thereby achieving denitrification. In addition, metals can also be removed during the process.


Denitrification Characteristics

Energysaving. Denitrification can be achieved at flue gas temperatures below 150 °C.

Safe. No use of ammonia, avoiding ammonia slip and storage risks.

High denitrification efficiency, up to more than 95%.

Ozone is gaseous, no catalyst is used and no wind resistance is increased.

Suitable for various working conditions including nonferrous smelting, petroleum refining, biomass power plants, industrial kilns, waste incineration, etc.
